Why sell your costumes through Reimagine Costume Resale? Reimagine's objective is to create one united re-sale platform for dance costumes and connect dancers throughout the country. At Reimagine we know how expensive brand new, custom made dance costumes can be so let us help you earn back some of those original costume fees and let those beautiful costumes see the stage once again!

Before downloading and completing the detailed costume listing form, here are some things to keep in mind when filling out the sections for each of your costumes:

Title of dance – If you don’t remember the name, it’s okay! It’s just to keep track. Feel free to make one up.

Age & size – Approximate age the dancer wore the costume at, and approximate sizes (please refer to one of the sizes in this chart to the best of your ability, it doesn’t have to be perfect). If the costume was made by a costume brand like Weissmans, Balera, etc. please write the size it says on that costume's tag as well as specify which brand it came from. This way we can attach the appropriate size chart for each brand to the costume to provide the most accurate information. Or if you can obtain the sizing records from the costumer at the year the costume was worn, that would be most ideal.

Dance style & group size – The style of dance, and whether or not the costume was from a solo, duet, trio or group.

Number of garments – The amount and description of separate garments of the costume. Please only include the ones you want to sell and make sure they are still in your possession.

Quality rating - Please rate the current quality the costume is in on a scale of 1-5. 1 being very poor quality with significant damages, threads, stains, holes, 5 being perfect condition. It's okay if there are flaws like missing rhinestones or a hole but you must disclose any damages or flaws if there are any - Failure to mention flaws or damages might mean you will not get back the listing price you set. Please let your quality rating reflect in the price you set.
Specify here if it is a 'COVID Costume' - A costume that is brand new and has never been danced in due to the effects of COVID-19 on the 2020 dance season.

Brief description – Briefly describe what the costume looks like and the elements of it. Use key words, and get creative. This description is what will appear on the website, along with photos of the costume. You must specify if it is a custom made costume, or catalogue bought - Either one, please list the name of the designer or company here as well. It should say in the tag of the costume if it's still there.

Listing price - While choosing a listing price, please keep in mind that if a costume is sold, Reimagine works on a consignment basis of a 40/60 split. Meaning, Reimagine keeps 40% of the sold price as a service fee, and returns the other 60% back to the owner. This service fee covers our website subscription fees, all communication and coordination with buyers, as well as final quality checks before the costume gets shipped to its final destination.
Tip: Consider the quality rating you just valued the costume as; re-used dance costumes are usually bought at around 50+% of the original price it was purchased at. If you're not sure what to price your costumes at, leave it blank and we can help you out based on our experience! If you would like to alter this price or put a costume on sale at any point please E-mail us to let us know and we will update it!
